Romain Baker and Dane Gardener-Williams Co-Founded Black Urbanism Toronto in 2018 with a mission to enhance the involvement of Black individuals in community development and further the cultural, economic, and social interests of Black communities in Toronto. Romain is a descendant of many West African peoples but ethnically Jamaican. He is a musician, student of history, and a Pan-Africanist. Dane describes himself as a simple person; he enjoys getting to know people and what drives them day-to-day.
